Another Jam with More Stuff!


Howdy! Here's a cool little devlog for all you devlog-fans out there. We're excited to release the second version of Clothed Together, our passion project inspired by Unpacking, Nickel Boys, girly-games of the twenty-first century, and more! That's a nice write-up, I should include that somewhere else too. This was written by two people so, if the style seems to be inconsistent, HEY that's called two different writers and we accept those in this Household. Thanks for reading. :)

Here's the cool in what's new, content / redesigns:

  • Two New Chapters
    Halloween and New Year's have been added! Experience more antics, literal bumping into each other, and character development.
  • Game-Defined Layering
    Previously, the layering of clothes was in-order of what was placed, resulting in players stacking clothing and being responsible for the structure of the outfit in an awkward manner. Now, the clothing layers naturally and looks ~sweet~ regardless of the order
  • Dressed-up Character
    Your outfits now matter, isn't that radical? How ever you dress-up the chapter's lead is now displayed during the visual novel sections, yipee!
  • UI Improvements
    The main menu has a brand new look with stylized buttons. The leads each have a unique dialogue box to fit their styles as well as clothing category buttons for the Dress up scene. Enjoy a new custom mouse cursor as well!
  • Pause Menu
    If you click 'ESC' during gameplay, the game pauses. From there, you can either continue playing by clicking 'resume' or with 'ESC' again, or quit the game via the 'exit' button.
  • Characters Present During Visual Novel
    The leads are both present during the visual novel sections, lighting up while speaking and dimming when not. When you're reading and they're yapping, they light up!
  • Dress Up Requirements
    Trying to leave without any clothing!? That's absurd! You're no longer able to finish the dress-up sections without putting on a shirt, pants, and shoes. There's dialogue for this too, that's user feedback baby. You want to be served don't you? Then FREAKING SERVE!
  • Dress-Up Dialogue
    Yeah, that's right, people are talking to you from beyond the door and the door answers BACK! The outside-dialogue will block categories to simulate disruption through gameplay, and the dialogue by the lead will override everything else they can potentially say so no clothing-dependent-quips or clothing reminders until after the lead's dialogue finishes. These are all set on timers so taking longer will result in more dialogue! Don't just sit around though, there's a story to unfold!
  • Timed Dress-Ups
    Better be quick before you're booted out of the section!

Here's the relieving in what's new, bug fixes:

  • Improved Fade
    The fades in-between chapters were bypassed by those speedy clickers and sometimes the previous background would display before the new one. This behavior has been ceased!
  • Screen Resizing
    The game window can now be resized to fit screens smaller than 1920 x 1080. 

Here's the bad in what's new, in terms of issues:

  • No Ending
    At the moment, we have no conclusive "to be continued" screen so once you notice the dialogue begin to repeat or the game crashes, you've reached the current end of content.

Here's the exciting in what's new, upcoming additions:

  • 2 new Chapters!
  • Better UI for the Dress up scenes
  • More clothing for Evelyn and Tabitha
  • Side characters present during Visual Novel scenes
  • Scene Selection Menu: So you can revisit specific scenes without going through the entire game
  • Bug fixes (of course)
  • And more!
